International Elimination of Violence against Women’ 2011
On 25th November, 2011 RHSTEP observed the Day titled “Violence Against Women” in its 22 centers operating in Public Medical College Hospitals in 19 districts.
RHSTEP arranged an open discussion at community level where many influential people like teachers, social leaders and community male and female members talked about demerits of violence against woman.
Here many women victims narrated how they have been beaten up by their husbands. Participants of the adolescent group said that education will help end the curse of dowry and early marriage, which will ultimately stop violence against women.
RHSTEP is always looking forward to a healthy, wealthy and self reliant nation where there will be no violence against women; where men and women will work together in the development initiatives.
Reproductive Health Services Training & Education Program (RHSTEP) has been working for the last 29 years to improve Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) for its target population where women are a core part.
