A Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) team comprised of Ms. Pia Engstrand, Lead Policy Specialist Health Department for International Organisations and Policy Support, Sida, Mr. Frederik Frisell, Specialist-Humanitarian Assistance Surge Capacity in Disasters and Conflicts, Sida, Sweden, Ms. Carin Zetterlund, First Secretary/Deputy Head of Development Section, Embassy of Sweden Bangladesh and Dr. Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Health Advisor, Embassy of Sweden Bangladesh visited RHSTEP Centre at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) yesterday (17 February 2019) and exchanged views with clients, trainees and staff there regarding RHSTEP’s activities.
At the beginning of their visit they were welcomed by the Quazi Suraiya Sultana, Executive Director of RHSTEP and Mr. Altaf Hossain PhD, Executive Director, BAPSA at the DMCH. Then the team met Brig. Gen. AKM Nasir Uddin, Director, Dhaka Medical College Hospital & Project Advisor RHSTEP-DMCH, Prof. Dr. Nilufar Sultana, Head of the Dept. Obs/Gyne Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Technical Advisor, RHSTEP-DMCH and discussed on different health services and activities related issues of the DMCH. A presentation on Sida supported “Safe MR Project” also presented during the meeting.
In this occasion Md. Ashiqul Islam, Deputy Executive Director, RHSTEP and Md. Mahbubul Haque, Director (Program), RHSTEP and other staff of DMCH was also present.
