On 18 June 2026, RHSTEP Alor Dhara Pathshala – Aparajeyo Tarunno Gaibandha Center successfully organized “Networking Meeting-02” at the conference room of Deshi Bhoj, Gaibandha, with the objective of strengthening youth development initiatives, promoting gender equality, fostering social inclusion, and enhancing collaboration among government and non-government stakeholders.
The meeting brought together representatives from various government departments, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, parents, and local community leaders to discuss strategies for creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for adolescents and young people.
The session was moderated by Mentor Jihanul Haque Joha and began with an introduction session that allowed participants to become acquainted and establish meaningful connections. Following the introduction, Unit Manager Md. Enamul Haque delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of partnership and collective action in achieving sustainable youth development.
During the meeting, Youth Officer Md. Tajbiul Islam Turjo presented the project's vision, objectives, and future plans, highlighting ongoing efforts to empower young people through awareness, leadership development, and community engagement initiatives.
A detailed PowerPoint presentation was later delivered by Project Officer Mst. Asfia Khatun, showcasing the project's major activities, achievements, participant-centered interventions, and strategic priorities for the future. The presentation provided stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of the project's impact and long-term goals.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Md. Imam Hashim, Deputy Director of the District Social Services Office, who joined as the Chief Guest. Special guests included Md. Ataur Rahman, District Education Officer; Md. Khademul Islam, Assistant Director of the Department of Youth Development; Mst. Mahbuba Khatun, Assistant Director of the District Family Planning Office; and Md. Istiaq Ahmed Abir, District Information Officer.
During the discussion session, speakers emphasized that sustainable youth development can only be achieved through stronger collaboration among government institutions, educational organizations, NGOs, and local communities. They highlighted the importance of investing in youth skills development, gender sensitivity, leadership capacity building, and the creation of safe and inclusive social environments.
The opinion-sharing session allowed teachers, NGO representatives, parents, and community leaders to provide valuable feedback and recommendations regarding project implementation. Participants stressed the need to strengthen local coordination, expand awareness initiatives, and create more opportunities for meaningful youth participation.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Project Officer Mst. Asfia Khatun, who expressed appreciation to all guests and participants for their valuable contributions. The event ended with a renewed commitment from stakeholders to continue working together to support youth empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable community development in Gaibandha.
