On 16 June 2026, RHSTEP Aparajeyo Tarunno Chattogram Center successfully organized “School Awareness Program-03” at Krishna Kumari City Corporation Girls’ High School under the theme, “Adolescence is a Natural Transition; Correct Knowledge Builds Confidence.”
The program was chaired by Project Officer Apu Dashgupta of Aparajeyo Tarunno Chattogram Center. The discussion session featured remarks from Assistant Head Teacher Sangeeta Kar Chowdhury and Mentor Tofatul Jannat. The event began with a PowerPoint presentation delivered by Project Officer Apu Dashgupta, introducing the key themes and objectives of the awareness program.
Speakers emphasized that the topics selected by Aparajeyo Tarunno are highly relevant and essential for today’s adolescents. They explained that adolescence is a crucial stage of life marked by physical, emotional, and social changes, where young people often experience confusion while discovering their identity and understanding themselves.
Special importance was given to mental health awareness, with speakers encouraging students to care for their emotional wellbeing and seek support whenever necessary. They highlighted that maintaining a healthy mind is fundamental to achieving personal growth, academic success, and self-confidence.
The session also addressed the opportunities and risks associated with the digital age. Participants were informed about cyber safety, responsible internet use, and the dangers of cyberbullying. Students were advised to avoid clicking unknown links, protect their personal information, and refrain from any form of online harassment or harmful digital behavior.
Another major focus of the discussion was child marriage prevention. Speakers explained that child marriage is not only a violation of the law but also a significant barrier to a girl's physical health, education, and mental development. Students were encouraged to continue their education, pursue their dreams, and become confident individuals capable of contributing positively to society.
The speakers inspired participants by describing them as future changemakers who have the power to build a healthier, safer, and more equitable society through awareness, education, and informed decision-making.
Following the discussion session, students actively participated in a group activity session, allowing them to reflect on the topics discussed, share their perspectives, and strengthen their understanding through interactive engagement.
The program successfully promoted awareness on adolescent health, mental wellbeing, cyber safety, and child marriage prevention, reinforcing the importance of informed and confident youth in creating a positive social impact.
