With the slogan “সচেতনতার আলোয় আলোকিত হই, পরিবর্তন আনি আমাদের সমাজে; একসাথে এগিয়ে যাই নিরাপদ, সুস্থ ও সমতাভিত্তিক আগামীর পথে” (Let us be enlightened through awareness and bring positive change to society; together we move toward a safe, healthy, and equitable future), Aparajeyo Tarunno Rangpur Branch organized “Community Awareness Program-01” on 17 April 2026 at 10:30 AM in Uttar Sheikhpara Orao Palli.
The awareness program focused on several important social and health-related topics, including adolescence and the role of family, reproductive tract infections, the harmful impacts of child marriage, safe motherhood, gender equality and gender-based violence, and climate change-related health risks.
Special sessions on the harmful consequences of child marriage, safe motherhood, and reproductive tract infections were conducted by Khandakar Farzana Zaman, FWV of MCWC Rangpur, who provided participants with practical and informative guidance on these critical issues.
During the session break, an engaging traditional “Hari Bhanga” game was organized with community members to encourage participation and create a joyful learning environment. Environment-friendly plants were distributed as gifts among the winners to promote environmental awareness.
At the conclusion of the program, sanitary napkins were distributed among community members, while educational materials were provided to students to support their health, hygiene, and educational needs.
The program was chaired by Animesh Roy, Project Officer of Aparajeyo Tarunno Rangpur Branch, and conducted by Youth Officer Swarnali Acharya.
The initiative successfully promoted awareness, community participation, and youth engagement while reinforcing RHSTEP–UYP’s commitment to building a healthy, informed, and equitable society.
