On 6 December 2025, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP) Khulna Centre successfully organized a health awareness programme titled “Health Advocacy Campaign-02” at People’s Field in Khalishpur from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, aiming to promote Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), gender equality, and community health awareness.

The programme was chaired by Advocate Begum Akter Jahan Ruku, Senior Advocate of the District Bar Council, Khulna. It was implemented under the overall supervision of Mr. Sujoy Chowdhury Shamya, Project Officer of UYP Khulna Centre, with coordination support from Youth Officer Ms. Noshin Tabassum.

Delivering the welcome address, Ms. Noshin Tabassum highlighted the objectives, significance, and implementation approach of SRHR-focused health advocacy initiatives. In her remarks as Chief Guest, Advocate Begum Akter Jahan Ruku underscored the importance of women’s empowerment, gender equality, and raising awareness on SRHR, noting that youth-led initiatives play a crucial role in driving sustainable social change.

The campaign featured multiple service delivery points offering essential health services, including height and BMI measurement, blood pressure check-ups, blood grouping, and the distribution of iron tablets and sanitary pads. Mentor Ms. Noorani Hajara provided primary counseling on SRHR-related issues to participants.

An RHSTEP–UYP information corner was also set up to disseminate awareness on the 109 helpline, prevention of child marriage, gender equality, and women’s empowerment. Informational materials such as stickers, leaflets, and posters were distributed among participants. Blood grouping services were conducted by Ms. Afsana Rukhsana, Nurse at Khulna Medical College.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers and community members, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere throughout the programme.

The programme concluded with a formal closing statement by Mr. Sujoy Chowdhury Shamya, marking the successful completion of the campaign.
