On 10 December 2025, the Aparajeyo Tarunno Barishal Centre marked International Human Rights Day with great enthusiasm, aligning with the theme “Eliminate Inequality, Protect Human Rights.” The event brought together adolescents from Sabera Khatun Balika Secondary School, Oxford Mission High School, Barishal Government College, Palashpur Colony, and Stadium Colony.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Youth Officer Mr. Joy Hari Biswas. Mentor Mr. Abir Mahmud then facilitated an engaging session supported by a PowerPoint presentation, where he elaborated on the concept, evolution, and categories of human rights, along with their contemporary relevance and challenges.

Participants actively engaged in group-based discussions on selected human rights topics, fostering critical thinking and collaborative learning.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Salma Khanom, Project Officer of Aparajeyo Tarunno, who presided over the session and highlighted the importance of continued awareness and youth engagement in promoting human rights.
