On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, UYP organized a human rights awareness programme at its Dhaka Centre, engaging 30 adolescents and youth in a dynamic learning experience. The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Sazzad Siddiqui, Professor and Acting Chairman, Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Dhaka, as the Chief Guest.

The programme featured an informative presentation on fundamental human rights and their contemporary relevance, followed by two interactive sessions. Dr. Siddiqui led an insightful discussion on human and fundamental rights, with a special focus on the rights and protections of adolescents and youth in Bangladesh. The second session incorporated engaging activities and participatory learning methods to reinforce key human rights concepts.

The event concluded with a reflection and feedback session, encouraging participants to share their insights and experiences. Overall, the programme served as an impactful platform for promoting human rights awareness, fostering critical thinking, and empowering young individuals through knowledge and active participation.
