With the theme “স্বাস্থ্যের জন্য ঐক্যবদ্ধ, বিজ্ঞানের সাথে অবিচল” (United for Health, Steadfast with Science), World Health Day 2026 was observed on 7 April with multiple awareness activities in Gaibandha.

In the morning, a colourful rally and discussion meeting were organized at the Civil Surgeon Office, highlighting the importance of science-based healthcare, public health awareness, and collective responsibility in ensuring a healthier society.

In the afternoon, RHSTEP Alor Dhara Pathshala – Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP) Project organized a discussion session along with a free blood grouping campaign at Rebekah Habib Girls’ High School in Gaibandha.

The program aimed to raise awareness among students about health education and encourage proactive engagement in understanding basic health information such as blood groups, which is essential for emergency preparedness and health awareness.

The combined observance successfully promoted health awareness and emphasized the importance of science, unity, and community participation in building a healthier future
