On 8 March 2026, International Women’s Day 2026 was celebrated at the Khulna Centre of the Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP) Project with the inspiring slogan, “নিজেকে ভালোবাসি” (Love Yourself).

To mark the occasion, a special discussion session was organized with the participation of adolescent girls from the Basteehara community. Through interactive discussions, participants exchanged views on women’s self-respect, self-confidence, and the positive role of women in society.

The program was conducted by Mentor Noorani Hazera Oishwarya. During the event, Youth Officer Nosheen Tabassum emphasized the importance of recognizing women’s inner strength and encouraged participants to value their contributions to society with confidence and pride.

The event was also attended by Kabir Ahmed, Unit Manager of RHSTEP Khulna Medical College Unit. In the closing remarks, Project Officer Sujoy Chowdhury Shammo highlighted that positive social change is possible when women learn to respect themselves and believe in their own potential. He also called upon everyone to work together towards women’s empowerment and equality.

The celebration concluded through meaningful discussions and participatory activities, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to empowering women and adolescent girls within the community.
