On 28 October 2025, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP Project), an initiative of RHSTEP, organized a comprehensive community health awareness campaign at Alor Pathshala মাঠ, adjacent to Talaimari Shaheed Minar in Rajshahi. The event aimed to enhance public awareness on health, nutrition, and disease prevention while ensuring access to essential health services for underserved populations.

The program was chaired by Md. Mamunur Rahman, Manager of RHSTEP Rajshahi Medical College, and inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Md. Shamim Ahmed, Secretary of Ward No. 24, Talaimari. Special guests included Regina Khatun, Head Teacher of Alor Pathshala, along with a team of nutritionists and medical technologists. Other dignitaries included Enayet Karim, Editor of Uttara Protidin, and Dipti Sarkar, Project Officer of UYP.

The overall coordination of the campaign was managed by Md. Faridul Islam, Youth Officer of UYP Rajshahi. Throughout the event, participants received a range of free healthcare services, including height and weight measurement, blood pressure monitoring, blood grouping, diabetes testing, and personalized nutrition and health consultations by professional nutritionists.

The voluntary blood donor organization Bandhan (Rajshahi College Unit) supported the campaign by facilitating free blood grouping services. In addition, participants were educated on healthy dietary practices, preventive healthcare, and lifestyle improvements to reduce health risks.

Students and teachers from nearby educational institutions, along with residents from surrounding communities, actively participated in the program and benefited from the services. The event also included awareness sessions emphasizing adolescent health, nutrition, and prevention of early marriage, contributing to improved knowledge and behavioral change among participants.

Following the inauguration, the Guests visited different service booths, interacted with beneficiaries, and expressed appreciation for UYP’s impactful initiative. They also assured continued support for similar community-based health programs in the future.

The campaign successfully promoted health awareness, encouraged preventive practices, and strengthened community engagement toward building a healthier society.
