On 13 November 2025 at 4:30 PM, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP Project) Rangpur Centre organized a “Theatre for SRHR” programme in the Uttar Sheikh Para Shawtal Palli. As part of the initiative, an awareness-based drama titled “Aloy Aloy Notun Jibon” was performed by a theatre group comprising adolescents from various educational institutions and local communities.
The programme began with a discussion session chaired by Project Officer Mr. Animesh Roy and facilitated by Youth Officer Ms. Swarnali Acharya. During the session, speakers emphasized the importance of raising awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), highlighting critical issues such as prevention of child marriage, safe motherhood, and strengthening adolescents’ decision-making capacity.
Following the discussion, the drama “Aloy Aloy Notun Jibon” was staged, effectively portraying the harmful consequences of child marriage, methods of cervical cancer prevention, physical and psychological changes during adolescence, responsible decision-making, and the importance of safe motherhood. The play was directed by Mr. Md. Ruman Sheikh, with Mr. Md. Sazim Islam serving as Assistant Director.
After the performance, a quiz competition was held, where participants enthusiastically took part and were awarded prizes for correct answers, reinforcing the key messages delivered through the programme.
The event concluded with closing remarks from the chair, who expressed appreciation to all participants and organizers and officially declared the successful completion of the programme.
