On 15 November 2025, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP Project) Chattogram Centre organized a “Theatre for SRHR-2” awareness initiative in Tigerpass Railway Colony community, featuring the street theatre performance “Amra Bodle Jachhi.” The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of community members, including women, men, children, and adolescents.

The drama focused on real-life issues such as adolescent physical and psychological changes, child marriage, drug abuse, and overall health awareness, presenting these themes through engaging storytelling to promote behavioral change and social awareness.

At the beginning of the programme, Project Officer Mr. Apu Dashgupta addressed the audience, emphasizing that the primary objective of the initiative was to enhance awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), nutrition, and mental health among adolescents, while also fostering a more empathetic and supportive attitude within families and society. He highlighted that young people represent a significant segment of the population, carrying both immense potential and challenges, and stressed the importance of ensuring equal access to opportunities and removing barriers to adolescent development and healthcare.

He further noted that without adequate support from family, society, and institutions, adolescents are at risk of being exposed to harmful influences, and such awareness-based initiatives serve as a guiding light for the younger generation.

Teacher Mr. Niladri Sen Gupta from Swapanbagicha Bidyaniketan remarked that the initiative is highly timely and impactful, benefiting adolescents, parents, and children alike through meaningful awareness.

The street theatre was directed by Youth Officer Ms. Annie Chowdhury, while the programme was smoothly facilitated by Mentor Ms. Toifatul Jannat Putul. The event began with a group recitation by students of Class Four and Five from Swapanbagicha Bidyaniketan.

The performance created a strong emotional and educational impact on the audience, effectively spreading positive awareness and reinforcing community understanding on critical SRHR issues.
