On 15 November 2025 at 6:30 PM, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP Project) Rangpur Centre organized a “Theatre for SRHR” awareness programme in Ershad Nagar, Chiniya Para. As part of the event, a community-based theatre group composed of adolescents from local educational institutions and communities staged the awareness drama “Aloy Aloy Notun Jibon.”

The programme began with a discussion session chaired by Project Officer Mr. Animesh Roy and facilitated by Youth Officer Ms. Swarnali Acharya. Special guests included Mr. Shaheen Badsha, Head Teacher of Afanullah High School, and Mr. Harunur Rashid, Assistant Teacher.

In their remarks, speakers emphasized the importance of raising awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), highlighting that creative approaches such as theatre can effectively engage adolescents and build their confidence in making informed health decisions. They also stressed the significance of addressing key issues such as prevention of child marriage, safe motherhood, and cancer awareness as essential components of social change.

The drama “Aloy Aloy Notun Jibon” conveyed important messages on the negative impacts of child marriage, prevention of cervical cancer, adolescent development, informed decision-making, and safe motherhood. The play was directed by Mr. Md. Ruman Sheikh, with Mr. Md. Sazim Islam serving as Assistant Director.

Following the performance, a quiz competition was आयोजित, where participants actively engaged and were awarded prizes for correct responses.

The programme concluded with a recognition ceremony, where the theatre director and participating actors were honored with crests and medals, marking the successful completion of an engaging and impactful awareness initiative.
