On 15 November 2025 at 4:00 PM, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP Project) Dhaka Centre organized a “Theatre for SRHR” awareness programme at the Masud Stage of Shohojpath School and College in the Shanir Akhra area. The event featured a stage performance of the drama “Amra Bodle Jachhi,” followed by a vibrant concert by adolescents and youth participants.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by UYP Project Manager Mr. Mohammad Abu Raihan. Special Guest Mr. Tutul Chowdhury, Principal of Shohojpath School and College and a renowned theatre actor, delivered remarks highlighting the importance of youth-led advocacy in developing leadership and addressing social challenges. He emphasized that initiatives like UYP play a vital role in bridging the communication gap between adolescents and their parents through awareness activities such as theatre performances.
The event was attended by teachers, parents, and members of Shahid Azad Smriti Pathagar. Through the drama “Amra Bodle Jachhi,” adolescent performers effectively portrayed key issues such as physical and psychological changes during adolescence, gender equity, child marriage, and its underlying causes, creating strong engagement among the audience.
Following the performance, an interactive question-and-answer session was conducted with active participation from both the audience and performers, encouraging open discussion on the highlighted issues.
The programme continued with a lively concert segment, where adolescents and youth performed solo and duet songs, with even audience members joining in to contribute performances.
The event concluded with the distribution of crests among the drama participants as a token of appreciation, marking the successful completion of an engaging and impactful programme.
