On 16 November 2025, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP) Mymensingh Centre organized a health awareness programme titled “Health Advocacy Campaign-02” at the Harijan community in Mymensingh city, conducted from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The programme featured medical support from Dr. Tania Nazneen Shova, Indoor Medical Officer at Swadesh Hospital, and Dr. Mehedi Haque, Oral and Dental Surgeon at Goodlife Dental Care. The event was supervised by Project Officer Ms. Resmina Haque and Youth Officer Mr. Sany Chandra Roy of UYP Mymensingh Centre.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Youth Officer Mr. Sany Chandra Roy, followed by an orientation on SRHR and the objectives of the health campaign delivered by Mentor Mr. Mithu Mondol. To better understand local health conditions, a structured questionnaire survey was conducted among participants by Mentor Mr. Mithu Mondol, Youth Advocate Mr. Probhat Das, and Ms. Bannya Basfor, focusing on existing SRHR and health-related issues, their causes, and community expectations.
Participants received a range of health services, including measurement of weight, height, BMI, blood pressure, blood grouping, and glucose levels. The attending doctors also provided necessary medical consultations and guidance based on individual health conditions.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers and community members. In addition, the doctors conducted a focused awareness session on scabies, identified as a prevalent health issue in the community, providing practical advice on prevention and treatment.
The initiative successfully combined service delivery with awareness-building, contributing to improved community understanding of health and SRHR issues.
