RHSTEP’s Unlocking Youth Potential (UYP) – Aparajeyo Tarunno presented an awareness theatre titled “Prithibir Nirab Chitkar” (The Silent Cry of the Earth) on 19 September 2026 at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, highlighting the impacts of climate change and the importance of collective environmental action.
The program opened with remarks from Mohammad Abu Raihan, Project Manager, Aparajeyo Tarunno. Written by Mohammad Abu Raihan and directed by Md. Riyad Hossain from the Korail community, the performance featured 15 adolescents and young people from Korail.
Through their performances, the young participants portrayed the impacts of climate change, including heatwaves, floods, pollution, health risks, and disruptions to everyday life. The theatre also emphasized environmentally responsible behavior, awareness, and the need for collective action to address climate-related challenges.
Beyond raising awareness, the theatre production provided young participants with opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork, creativity, and communication skills through rehearsals and stage performance. Tanjina Sultana Shiuly supervised the overall preparation, rehearsals, costumes, and stage arrangements.
