RHSTEP’s Aparajeyo Tarunno project organized a Health Advocacy Campaign and Free Health Service Program on 30 August 2026 at Gaibandha Public Library Auditorium, focusing on health rights, nutrition, adolescent health, and access to healthcare for marginalized communities.

The program featured discussions on adolescent health, personal hygiene, menstrual health, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, and non-discriminatory access to healthcare. Speakers also highlighted affordable nutritious food, iron deficiency prevention, family planning, reproductive health, and available government health services.

A free health screening service was provided for participants and community members, including blood group testing, blood sugar, blood pressure, weight measurement, general health screening, and individual health consultations. Medical Officer Dr. Sakib Ferdous provided medical services and advice.

The program was attended by Dr. Md. Rafiquzzaman, Civil Surgeon, Gaibandha, as the Chief Guest, and Md. Tarikul Islam, Deputy Director, District Family Planning Office, as the Special Guest. The event also brought together representatives of the third-gender and Harijan communities, creating an inclusive platform to discuss barriers to healthcare access.

An open question-and-answer and advocacy session allowed participants to share their experiences and concerns regarding healthcare services. The program concluded with discussions emphasizing health rights, inclusive healthcare, community awareness, and improved access to essential health services.
