On 19 November 2025, UYP Khulna Centre organized a “Watchdog Meeting on Health Service Gaps with Policymakers and Stakeholders,” aiming to strengthen accountability and improve healthcare service delivery through evidence-based advocacy.

Prior to the meeting, on 13 and 17 November, a 10-member Watchdog Team, along with the Project Officer and Youth Officer, conducted field visits to several health facilities, including MCWC, Amirpur FWC, Krishnanagar Community Clinic, Thukra Community Clinic, and Andulia Community Clinic. During these visits, the team collected data and conducted interviews with service recipients to assess service quality and identify existing gaps.

Based on the findings, a comprehensive report was developed and presented during the meeting through a PowerPoint presentation by Project Officer Mr. Sujoy Chowdhury Shamya. The event was attended by key government and health sector representatives, including Mr. Md. Akib Uddin, Deputy Director, Family Planning, Khulna District; Mr. Md. Nakib Hasan, Assistant Director, Family Planning; Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan Sheikh, Assistant Director and District Consultant, Family Planning; and Dr. Sheikh Al Amin, President of the Intern Doctors’ Association, Khulna Medical College.

Members of the Watchdog Team also shared their field experiences, highlighting key challenges observed at the service delivery points. The attending officials acknowledged the findings and assured their commitment to addressing the identified issues and improving service delivery.
